I have had dinner at Cooperage Inn many times but recently visited on Saturday September 21 with my sibling. We had a reservation and were seated in a timely manner, the decor there was so welcoming and lively. We were sat on a nice quiet corner and our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. We shared chicken wontons, then each had a yummy dish that we had leftovers for! For dessert we shared a yummy peanut butter one! It was so good!! The restroom is a bit small (only 2 stalls) but it’s very clean, comfortable and easy to access. Overall it’s always a great experience there, the only drawback is the potential left turn into the restaurant, but you just need to be cautious. I would recommend to anyone who wants a lovely dinner in a fabulous atmosphere. 🥳

February 2025 Review. We visited The Cooperage Inn for my birthday celebration, and we were thoroughly delighted! It was a truly lovely establishment; both cozy and spacious. They offer three or four main dining areas, a bar, and outdoor seating for warmer weather (we eagerly anticipate trying that! Sun, please come soon; I want to go back and sit outside). The food was outstanding; we sampled a wide variety of dishes. From the Tower Trio appetizer and mussels to their renowned pot pie and ribs, everything was delicious, but the cowboy steak was exceptional—the best I've ever tasted. It was incredibly tender and flavorful. They also have a convenient area where one can purchase their delicious frozen pies (savory and sweet) without entering the main restaurant. I took home a coconut cream pie, which was quickly devoured. The portions were quite generous. Check out the pictures! And go stop by and get something to eat. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent meal, wide selection on the menu, something for everyone in both food and drinks. Try the pan seared mozzarella and the crabcakes (pictured)! Also the paella (sorry no pic). Delicious! Followed by fabulous desserts. Service was excellent, and it was a warm cozy place for Christmas dinner with coworkers.

Came here for a Saturday night dinner for two on a random fall evening. During the fall at least, I would definitely recommend a reservation, it was very busy around dinner time and without one we wound up waiting around for over an hour (which was the expectation they gave us). Since the weather was nice, we were at least able to enjoy waiting outside in the outdoor area they have on the side of the restaurant. Once we finally were sat, service was very friendly and pretty quick to boot. Ambiance felt very homey and I knew we were going to be in for a comfort food delight. We started off with the simple bread basket, but there really isn't much better than hot fresh bread as far as I am concerned, although I usually prefer when it's complimentary, I can't complain that they at least kept it a fair price. For dinner I ordered the short rib stroganoff and my date got the single porkchop. Both were delicious, but if I'm only picking one, I think mine was the real winner. Portions are generous and quality isn't lacking with the quantity either. We both really wanted to try their claim to fame of pies (both savory and sweet!) but we were too stuffed to have another bite. But that just gives us a reason to come back for more. That being said, they do even offer pies to go at a little hole in the wall right next to the main entrance in case you just want to grab and go, which I think is a great idea.

Food was excellent! Very cool place with an old school dining vibe! Decent service, although I'm pretty sure my server didn't check in once the food was served, until I was almost finished eating. Looks like a place where lots of locals hang. Good variety of local LI wines to pick from.

Come for a good time, stay for a great one. Mike was the perfect example of what it is to be a server; polite, honest, and easygoing. I wasn't checked on too frequently (which was great, I was by myself and don't enjoy being bothered), my Bloody Mary and my steak couldn't have been better, and Mike's service in general made this a location I can look forward to coming back to.

Had a 60th surprise party today. Alyssa, the manager, was great. She returned calls and was very accommodating. Bella, the waitress was amazing. Very attentive, kind and caring. Many guests were extremely pleased with her attentiveness and pleasant personality. Food was abundant and delicious. Thank you for a great day.

We’ve been to Cooperage Inn a handful of times now, and it never disappoints. The calamari is always a great starter, and the Chicken Pot Pie Crunch Rolls are an absolute must order every visit. Over our last few trips, we’ve tried a variety of dishes including the meatloaf, short rib pot pie, and the vegetarian sauté pasta dish, all of which were delicious and packed with flavor. On our most recent visit, I ordered the 24 oz Cowboy Ribeye, and it was outstanding. Cooked perfectly, tender, flavorful, and the horseradish crème served alongside it was a fantastic touch that complemented the steak perfectly. And whatever you do, don’t skip dessert. The crème brûlée is consistently excellent, and the Peanut Butter Passion dessert (pictured) was incredible. Rich, decadent, and the perfect way to end the meal. Cooperage Inn continues to be one of our favorite spots on Long Island. Great food, generous portions, and a menu that always gives us a reason to come back and try something new. Highly recommended!

We stopped by Cooperage Inn after getting hungry while we were out in the area, and I’m glad we did. The place has a really nice, upscale feel without being over the top. The food was excellent, everything tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. The steak was definitely a highlight. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. If you’re nearby and looking for a great meal in a comfortable atmosphere, this place is definitely worth checking out. We’ll definitely be back!
